How to bring cowboy boots and western belts into your work wardrobe.
Most people associate western wear with denim and rodeos, and they tend to forget that cowboy boots and western belts also belong in your corporate wardrobe.
I find the office as the perfect place to get creative. Looking polished and office appropriate (whatever that means for your workplace) is the kind of structure that pushes me to be creative — I am a devout white button down aficionado, but even I can only wear a white button down and slacks once or twice a week. This literally forces me out of my comfort zone and to pair pieces that I normally wouldn’t. And, as a proud Texan, adding a touch of Texas to my outfits is just as important to me as wearing my mother’s wedding ring — they’re both my hero pieces, the armor I wear that unexplainably gives me confidence and that ‘I can do this’ attitude.
